Some RFID applications call for the tagging of individual items. At Avery Dennison RFID Division, we're hard at work developing solutions for these challenging
applications. For instance, our pharmaceutical product, the AD-812, has a number of unusual features that make it ideal for
tagging small plastic bottles as they move through the pharmaceutical supply chain. This small UHF inlay is three-dimensional, so it can be read face-on, from any edge, in any direction. In
addition, physical proximity actually enhances performance even though physical proximity
is typically a problem in the RF world. And this is just one example of our market-driven approach to
solving real-world RFID problems.
